About Us

Hacienda La Esperanza, or The Hacienda of Hope, is a unique bed and breakfast that not only provides guests with an exceptional experience but also supports an incredibly worthy cause. Our mission is to help the indigenous poor of Honduras, particularly the Mayan Chorti Indians of Central America, by donating 100% of all room revenues to our medical clinic.

As the only bed and breakfast in Honduras, and perhaps the world, with this singular focus, we take pride in offering a peaceful and welcoming retreat for travelers. Our Spanish Colonial Estate features meticulous attention to detail, providing guests with an unforgettable experience from the moment they arrive.

Visitors can expect a slower pace of life in the tranquil setting of our Hacienda. With great green vistas, vibrant flowers, and abundant native birds, guests can fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region.

By choosing to stay at Hacienda La Esperanza, guests not only have the opportunity to experience the charm of Central America but also play a part in supporting a truly worthy cause. Come and join us in our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of the Mayan Chorti Indians of Honduras.

The walk into the town is 10 minutes and we offer complimentary rides to town as well as many of the sites. The advantage of this is the serene quietness and great sleep that our guests talk about. The entire Hacienda is enclosed private and gated, with secure parking for all our guests.

A place where your vacation becomes your donation.

GIVING BACK

Hacienda La Esperanza in cooperation with Paramedics For Children, a non profit organization, is the only B&B in all of Honduras or perhaps in the world  who’s sole reason for being is to bring aid to the Indigenous  Mayan Chorti Indians of Honduras and all of Central American.

They do this through the running of a medical clinic for the poor as well as a local school supply outreach program based in Copan Ruinas.

100% of all room revenues goes to support Paramedics For Children,  who leases the Hacienda year round and runs both a volunteer and tourist program that funds their projects.
